The Loeb Center's Alumni-in-Residence program is excited to offer 20-minute, 1-on-1, in-person, informational office hour appointments with Mabel Lajes-Guiteras ’99.
Whether you want to explore the range of pathways in education leadership, advocacy, or teaching, or discuss the thoughtful timing for job changes, graduate school, or starting a family, Mabel is available to you for in-person mentoring. This is an especially great opportunity for in-depth questions about building on your own network, reviewing your resume, or learning more about various professional roles in education.
Before assuming the role of Vice President at the Charter School Growth Fund, Mabel was the Senior Leader at TenSquare where she partnered with school leaders and school boards across the country to improve performance in academics, leadership, and school culture. Prior to TenSquare, Mabel was the founding principal of Bedford Stuyvesant Collegiate Charter School. She has over 10 years of experience teaching Head Start through college students in a variety of settings, including several founding teams. As a teacher, her students were consistently ranked in the top 5 on performance metrics statewide.
